Between the 1901 - 1902 Klimt made a significant contribution to the Vienna Secession Building by painting 'Beethoven Frieze'.
The masterpiece was painted directly on the wall as it was only for the exhibition.
'Beethoven Frieze' is meant to show human desire for happiness in the wild and suffering world which one struggles not only with the outer evil but with the inner weaknesses.
