“My practice is a response to the artistic shock moving from Bogotá to London
produced in me. During my early years, I was exposed to the beauty and
timelessness of the visual arts, within offline spaces. I was a museum child, and I
experimented throughout my teens with painting and sculptural mediums. I believed
it to be the epitome of creativity.
Once I moved to London, I realized the capabilities of the digital medium for creative
expression. I started experimenting with various software to create compositions to
be enjoyed as artwork exclusively in the digital sphere. Since then, I’ve been creating
art under different pseudonyms and avatars, in the hopes of detaching my physical
being from my digital presence, and to challenge the notion of the “celebrity artist”. I
consider my art to fall under the canon of contemporary art, with specific
categorizations of digital art, and net art.
In conjunction to this, I’ve curated a series of hybrid shows exploring the
interrelations of the digital medium and the commercial physical art world. In this I’ve
had the opportunity to collaborate with various NFT platforms as a curator and
consultant.
I hope my series offers a short view into the creative capacities of a visual artist with
digital tools. Thank you for offering me a platform to showcase my work”.
