In hers artistic work, Mia deals with issues of perception, reinterpretation and recontextualization. Her interest lies in exploring the complexities of life. The permeation of the animate and inanimate, primordial and contemporary, permanent and transient is the theme and quintessence of hers artistic research. Despite all inherent symbolism, the structures remain only the media for watching the visual and/or physical aspects of the passage of time effect on the material world's sensory layers. Deconstruction and rethinking of traditional conceptions of art forms are often the framewoorksof hers work. Her works explore the patterns of perception, as weel as their context and their useing. Seeking the iconic scenes of spiritual states, Mia indicates a subtle link between time and space. Transience of existence, action, norms and conventions are once again questioned.
She is a member of the Croatian Association of Artists and Croatian Freelance Artists.
